NPCs in WoW
Author: mmosavor Source: www.mmosavor.com
Non-Player Characters (NPCs) are characters controlled by the server or computer. These characters include merchants, skill trainers, quest-related, gossip characters and flavor characters. NPCS are identified by their name tag, and the fact that often your cursor will change into a context-sensitive icon when mousin over them.
Merchants' job is buying and selling goods, such as wow items, and some perform special tasks such as repairing armor and weapons. Trainers are those who are responsible for training characters new-class specific abilities or trade skills. By talking to NPCs, players can receive or turn in a quest. Quest NPCs display on the minimap. Bankers are responsible for managing your bank account. Auctioneers are responsible for talking to the auctioneers to buy or sell goods on the auction house. Flight master NPCs allow travel by air to other parts of the world. Gossip NPCs have something to tell you which can give you information, entertain you or lead you to a quest. Guards in major cities can give you directions to useful NPCs in the city, such as bankers, trainers, and more. Once you choose the location they will place a marker on your minimap leading you to your destination.
